  • reticulation ( reticulate ) - generally referring to features of the stalk - A fish-net like pattern of criss-crossed lines on the stalks surface.
  • rhizomorph - a rootlike appearing structure of mycelial hyphae. Threadlike cells forming a thick accretion that can have an appearance of shoestrings.
  • rimose-areolate - referring to a mushroom cap's surface feature. Having both rimose ( cracks and crevices ) and areolate ( a patchwork of areas ) appearance.
