apical pore
In Gasteromycetes ( puffball like mushrooms ), an opening at the top of the spore case where the spores are discharged.
If referring to the spore itself then the apical pore is a germ pore ( an opening in the spores cell wall ) at one end of the spore.

The spores are discharged on this puffball at the apical pore. Photo of the upper surface of a mature puffball with an apical pore.
Trauma ( a footstep for instance by a squirrel, deer or yeti ), falling debris, raindrops, etc.,
or gusts of wind across the top causes spores to be ejected or pulled out.

When the mycelium germinates the mycelium strands grow out from that apical pore.
