The Landmark Hotel & Casino was blown up - detonated - on November 7, 1995. Previously owned by Howard Hughes and was host to Elvis Pressley, Danny Thomas and others. It was in a 007 movie background in addition to the explosion of the Hotel being part of the movie 'Mars Attacks '
