There are many great pieces of literature bound in an Omnibus/Anthology. Often however only one or two stories are wanted rather than the whole book - just like what happens with CD's, LP's or 8 Track's.
For instance, let's say you are looking through a thick book of famous mysteries from the 1950's but all you really want are the Ed McBain ( Cop Hater ) and Cornell Woolrich ( Savage Bride ) stories.
Why buy the book and pay $6.00 or so, plus S & H, when there are only a couple of stories wanted.
That's what the scheme is for 'Why Buy The Book'.
I collect the books. I carefully remove the applicable pages and make the stories available - cheap.
Although what you are receiving are just pages, they are the complete stories.
